delve a little deeper....
One of the advantages of living so far out of the centre of London is that I am close to Heathrow, and what does Heathrow have plenty of? No, not planes- Hotels! Lot's of hotels full of lone travelers who are hanging about waiting for their flight or suffering from jet-lag and unable to sleep. Or maybe they have booked into a Heathrow hotel thinking it was close to London and ended up miles from anything remotely pretty or interesting. Unless you like kebab shops and plane spotting of course.
Obviously the only course of action to while away an hour or so is to book yourself an escort i.e. me.
I love Heathrow outcalls, not just because it gets me out of the house and I don't have to sit in traffic forever getting into central London but I secretly do quite like watching the planes take off and land as I travel there and some of the hotels have brilliant views of the runways!
In fact, I'm such a geek I even have a spreadsheet of all the Heathrow Hotels- helpful for looking up details but also so I can aim towards getting them all ticked off my list! I still have a few left to do- I'm not naming them because I don't want any hotel to link me with them!
Anyway now I've confessed that I feel I need to go and do something naughty to counterbalance it....
Most escorts don't answer withheld or private numbers. You see it on almost every escort website. Does this make any difference? No. We all get hidden numbers. Depending on my mood I will either ignore them or answer them telling them I need them to call me back on a number I can see.
Mostly they say 'Oh yes, sorry, I'll call you back!'. Then I never hear from them again. Seriously, 1 in a 1000 times does a man actually ever call me back saying sorry, I didn't know I had my number hidden or I was calling from my office or whatever.
I know why some men hide their numbers, I get that they are concerned an escort might call them back or send a text which their partner could find. However, my theory is either they are phoning for free sexy chat, they don't intend on actually showing up or they are going to harm me.
So, last night I took a call from a private number.
Me: Hello (I say hello Lydia speaking if I get a call usually!)
Him: Is that Lydia?
Me: Yes, but I need you to call me back on a number that isn't hidden
Him: Oh but I saw an escort two days ago and my girlfriend found the number so I'm being careful.
OK, so shouldn't you be busy mending your relationship or at least behaving for a little bit?! Or indeed more likely bullshit and he just didn't want to give me his number....
Me: Well, I'm afraid I don't take bookings from anyone unless I have their number.
Him: I'll come and see you and if you're OK (What the fuck?!) I'll give you my number.
Me: No, it doesn't work like that!
Him (Clearly hard of hearing): So give me your address and we'll see how we get on, then you can have my number.
Me: So you won't trust me with your number but you expect me to give you my home address?!
*Lydia hangs up*
Having a client's number isn't always a foolproof way of ensuring they aren't going to be a dick when (if) they arrive for a booking, but it's a good security measure that every escort should undertake.
No decent escort will contact a client unless he has specifically asked her to and if she really has to, for example needs to cancel a booking then she would normally do so by text and in the most discreet way possible.
We're not in the market of breaking up relationships and nor do we want to piss off a good client by pestering them.
Yes, I have heard stories of women texting previous clients to tout for bookings, it happens, but not by anyone who has any professional integrity or good reputation.
I don't expect previous clients to rock up at my flat unannounced as much as my clients don't expect me to call them or text them unless I am responding to their request to do so.
The trust works both way.
The upshot: Choose your escorts with care. Understand that we all have security measures and realise that trust works both ways and that we're not so stupid that we'd take a booking from a man who won't let us have his contact number.
